Imagine an inspiring backdrop for your next event, where history meets modern luxury.

Located on the cusp of Sydney Harbour between the Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, InterContinental Sydney stands within the heritage-listed Treasury Building of 1851, in the well-connected Sydney central business district and government precinct.

With dedicated on-site event specialists and audio-visual teams, 509 accommodation rooms and suites, 15 flexible meeting & event spaces and menus by award-winning chefs, InterContinental Sydney is the perfect destination for your next boardroom meeting, media showcase, conference, gala dinner, or cocktail event.

Located on Level Two of InterContinental Sydney, the Albert Room is a mid-scale function room featuring elevated ceilings and natural light from south-facing windows, perfect for small conferences, workshops, seminars or medium-sized board meetings.

The included Albert Lobby can be seamlessly used for secretarial services, for entrance displays, or as a breakout space for your event. Twin Boardrooms also branch off the Albert Lobby, popularly hired together as a trio for self-contained use.

With natural light cascading from high glass ceilings, step through a grand sandstone pre-function space into the private Albert Lobby and onto the Albert Room. A refined venue in the heart of Circular Quay, discover period details including stylish mahogany doors and elegant Art Nouveau chandeliers. Complete with inbuilt projector and projection screen, the Albert Room is ideal for hosting small to medium group presentations.

The Albert Room & Lobby overlook Bridge Street and the heritage façade of the Colonial Secretary’s building: a stately Victorian building completed by the same architect as the Treasury Building in which InterContinental Sydney resides. Recently refurbished, the Albert Room takes its name from Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, who was Prince Consort to Queen Victoria at the time of the original Treasury Building’s construction.
